Acceptance
These Terms govern your use of Tidiest, operated by Tidiest LLC. By tapping "I agree," you confirm that you are authorized to manage the household and are the parent or legal guardian of any member under 18 you set up, that you are at least 18 years old, and that you have read and agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
Household manager accounts and members
Only an adult household manager may create an account, set up member profiles, write chore rules, and manage points and rewards. Members operate within the profiles you create and may change only their private non-photo display symbol; they do not have their own accounts, public profiles, profile pictures, social features, or purchase controls, and cannot accept these Terms or make purchases. You are responsible for supervising your member's use of the app and the device's camera.
Household consent and photo authorization
Member profile creation and member photo submission unlock only after you review the member-data, member-photo, and AI-verification notice and give consent and explicit authorization. After that consent, you may create a member profile with a nickname and required private display symbol that defaults to a star, and pair the member device through a one-time QR code or human code. A submitted member photo is processed on your device to remove location metadata, stored privately for a limited time, and made available for authorized household manager review. If AI verification is enabled, OpenAI may process the same sanitized evidence for chore-completion verification under the Privacy Policy's provider-retention disclosure. Bounded Auto suggestions additionally require an active trial, paid subscription, or Billing Grace Period and the separate Auto Mode authorization. A household manager may revoke consent, disable AI verification, and disable future photo submission at any time.
How verification and points work
AI verification compares a submitted photo to the household manager-authored chore rules. Clear passes award the chore's full configured point value; clear misses award zero; unsafe or unclear images require household-manager review. You may review and override decisions where the app allows it. Points are household manager-authored tracking records only. They are not money, stored value, cash-out, payroll, banking, or money transfer services, and Tidiest does not custody, transmit, pay, or guarantee money. Household manager-approved rewards may be promises you fulfill outside the app, or single-use gift-card codes supplied by the household manager. Tidiest does not sell, purchase, fund, validate, or track the monetary balance of gift cards.
Subscriptions
Family Composer and Solo Composer require a verified Apple subscription for operational access. Eligible annual subscriptions offer a three-day full-access introductory trial, followed by annual billing. Monthly and ineligible annual purchases charge immediately. Apple determines eligibility separately for the Family and Solo subscription groups. Trial, paid, and Apple Billing Grace Period provide the same released features and AI access, subject to ordinary consent, authorization, safety, and Auto Mode limits. There is no permanent Free tier. Cancellation preserves access through Apple’s verified entitlement date. Expiry or revocation stops activity while keeping existing data available for authorized read-only viewing. Restore Purchases reconciles access with Apple. Account deletion does not cancel the Apple subscription. Apple supplies prices and handles refunds. Tidiest Family names the household service and does not promise Apple subscription Family Sharing. Compatible active access can be restored to an empty workspace authenticated with the same Apple identity after deletion, without restoring data from the deleted workspace.
Solo Composer is an adult-owned workspace with no member profiles, points, or rewards. Switching between Solo and Family requires verified compatible access and explicit destructive confirmation. Conversion permanently deletes the prior workspace and its private media. Existing verified seven-day trials retain their original expiry.
Annual-trial photo processing has a flat minimum wait of 15 seconds before AI processing. Paid and Billing Grace Period access have no trial wait. Trials have the same released features and no Free-tier quota.
Captured room photos
Photos are processed on your device to remove location metadata and reduce image size before upload. Raw originals are not uploaded. New household managers accept room-photo notice 2026-08-30-before-after-verification-v3 during onboarding, while existing household managers review it before their next photo-backed save. After consent, the processed photo is retained privately and associated with chores saved from that capture. Only the household manager and members assigned an active linked chore may view it. When AI verification is enabled, Tidiest may compare the linked room photo with that chore's completion photo. Retention is always on for photo-backed saves, but you may remove a reference from each chore; the retained photo is deleted after its final link or when the related member or household is deleted. Expiry or revocation makes the workspace read-only and does not delete retained room references. Room references are never public or used for training or unrelated purposes.
Acceptable use
Photograph the household task without identifying people or transcribing personal information. Incidental people, faces, documents, or personal information do not independently require review or block completion. Do not use Tidiest to identify, analyze, or make decisions about a member's identity, traits, or any other person. Do not submit member chore photos to room planning. Do not upload images without the right to use them or use the service unlawfully. Tidiest does not provide open chat, member messaging, public leaderboards, advertising, behavioral tracking, or sale of personal information.
Disclaimers & liability
Tidiest, AI chore verification, and AI-generated room-planning suggestions are provided "as is" and may be incomplete, unsuitable, or wrong. Tidiest does not opt member submissions into model training or model improvement and does not use them for biometric identification, face recognition, member profiling, or unrelated AI use. Household managers must review and edit every room-planning suggestion before saving it, decide which member receives it, and supervise chore rewards. Nothing limits rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.
Changes, termination & contact
We may update these Terms; material changes will be presented for your agreement before they take effect. You may stop using Tidiest and delete your account at any time.
