Acceptance
These Terms govern your use of Tidiest, operated by Tidiest LLC. By tapping "I agree," you confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian of any child you set up, that you are at least 18 years old, and that you have read and agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
Parent accounts and children
Only a parent/legal guardian may create an account, set up child profiles, write chore rules, and manage points and rewards. Children operate within the profiles you create and may change only their private non-photo display symbol; they do not have their own accounts, public profiles, profile pictures, social features, or purchase controls, and cannot accept these Terms or make purchases. You are responsible for supervising your child's use of the app and the device's camera.
Parental consent and the camera gate
Child profile creation and child photo submission unlock only after you review the child-data, child-photo, and AI-verification notice and give parental consent. After that consent, you may create a child profile with a nickname and optional private display symbol, and pair the child device through a one-time QR code or human code. A submitted child photo is sanitized on-device, uploaded through Tidiest's Worker to private short-retention evidence storage, and made available for parent review through short-lived authorized URLs. If AI verification is enabled, Amazon Nova Pro through AWS Bedrock or GPT-5.6 Luna through OpenAI's global API may process the same sanitized evidence for chore-completion verification under the Privacy Policy's provider-retention disclosure. Bounded Auto suggestions additionally require an active trial, paid subscription, or Billing Grace Period and the separate Auto Mode authorization. A parent may revoke consent, disable AI verification, and disable future photo submission at any time.
How grading and points work
AI verification compares a submitted photo to the parent-authored chore rules. Clear passes award the chore's full configured point value; clear misses award zero; ambiguous, private, unsafe, or sensitive images require parent review. You may review and override decisions where the app allows it. Points are parent-authored tracking records only. They are not money, stored value, cash-out, payroll, banking, or money transfer services, and Tidiest does not custody, transmit, pay, or guarantee money. Parent-approved rewards may be promises you fulfill outside the app, optional Screen Time rewards, or single-use gift-card codes supplied by the parent. Tidiest does not sell, purchase, fund, validate, or track the monetary balance of gift cards.
Subscriptions
After current consent and parental confirmation, Tidiest Family activates a Free tier automatically. Free includes 20 AI-assisted Approved or Denied completion decisions and 100 successful AI images per household-local month, with at most five sanitized AI image units admitted per rolling three-minute household window; paid access is unlimited. Paid plans are managed through your Apple account. The annual plan may include a seven-day introductory trial only when Apple confirms eligibility; the monthly plan charges immediately. Trial, paid, and Billing Grace Period provide unlimited access. Cancellation remains active through the verified paid-through date; refund or revocation downgrades access to Free immediately rather than locking, beginning a deletion countdown, or deleting the household. Deleting your Tidiest account does not cancel the Apple subscription. If you immediately start a new account with the same Apple identity, compatible paid access can be restored without restoring data from the deleted workspace. “Tidiest Family” does not promise Apple subscription Family Sharing. Apple handles refunds under its policies.
Tidiest Composer is a separate adult solo subscription family with monthly and annual products. The app displays only prices supplied by Apple. Eligible annual products may include the established seven-day introductory trial; monthly products charge immediately. Composer has no ongoing Free creation tier. After lapse, the active batch and Activity remain readable, while capture, suggestions, verification, dismissal, and override remain blocked until eligible Composer or Family paid access returns. Changing between solo and Family requires verified compatible paid access and an explicit destructive confirmation; the prior workspace is permanently deleted rather than archived.
Captured room photos
Manual and AI room captures are face-checked, stripped of metadata, and redrawn as 1024-pixel JPEGs on-device; raw originals are immediately released. New parents accept room-photo notice 2026-08-30-before-after-verification-v3 during onboarding, while existing parents review it before their next photo-backed save. After consent, the complete sanitized derivative is stored once and privately linked to chores saved from that capture. Only the household parent and children assigned an active linked chore may view it. When AI verification is enabled, Tidiest may compare the linked room photo with that chore's completion photo. Retention is always on for photo-backed saves, but you may remove a reference from each chore; the shared object is deleted after its final link or when the related child or household is deleted. Paid expiry or revocation downgrades to Free and does not delete retained room references. Room references are never public or used for training or unrelated purposes.
Acceptable use
Keep people, sensitive documents, and valuables out of room-planning and chore-verification photos. Do not use Tidiest to identify, analyze, or make decisions about a child's identity, traits, or any other person. Do not submit child chore photos to room planning. Do not upload images without the right to use them or use the service unlawfully. Tidiest does not provide open chat, child messaging, public leaderboards, advertising, behavioral tracking, or sale of personal information.
Disclaimers & liability
Tidiest, AI chore verification, and AI-generated room-planning suggestions are provided "as is" and may be incomplete, unsuitable, or wrong. Tidiest does not opt child submissions into model training or model improvement and does not use them for biometric identification, face recognition, child profiling, or unrelated AI use. Parents must review and edit every room-planning suggestion before saving it, decide which child receives it, and supervise chore rewards. Nothing limits rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.
Changes, termination & contact
We may update these Terms; material changes will be presented for your agreement before they take effect. You may stop using Tidiest and delete your account at any time.
